Plate: Still Life with Flowers, Odilon Redon, 1905

"Still Life with Flowers", painted by Odilon Redon in 1905. Redon came to color late: for years he worked only in black, and color reached him through pastel in the 1890s. By the time of this canvas, about three feet tall, he was painting flowers in oil as well. Here a loose bouquet of red, white and blue wildflowers fills a tall amber vase, with butterflies drifting across a soft grey-green ground.

WildCompare tells you, in plain words, how your sound differs from a reference. SFX mode may look at the timing of a transient, or how the envelope of a whoosh is constructed, where Music mode looks at the overall character and quality of the mix. Each difference gets a green, amber or red verdict and a tip on how to get closer, rolled up into a grade from A+ to F. Whether you're practicing recreations to strengthen your skills, or matching a reference for a job, WildCompare has your back.
